Jamie Sheehan commented on Simon Duke's blog post 'Target?'
"I have re-read what I wrote about Fletch, and yes, probably I was unreasonable to suggest that his attitude may not have been right while Peter Reid was manager.   A much more likely explanation for him winning his first game in charge is the…"

RODGER RUSE commented on Simon Duke's blog post 'Target?'
"Carl Fletcher proved that his tactics in concentrating on a tight defence as a priority over becoming a high scoring team were spot on as we avoided relegation. Apart from winning his first game in charge, his early results were not that much better…"
Monday
Gary Johnston commented on Simon Duke's blog post 'Target?'
"Yes, Jamie. That's why I say Fletch hasn't proved himself yet. While we scrapped & fought out some results at the back end of the season. While keeping a clean sheet gives you a good foundation, winning is still about scoring more goals…"

Jamie Sheehan commented on Simon Duke's blog post 'Target?'
"The major concern I have with Fletch is his seeming pre-occupation with keeping clean sheets. He says he felt he had no option but to make us hard to beat this season, but on the rare occasions that the shackles were loosened, we did get some good…"

Gary Johnston commented on Simon Duke's blog post 'Target?'

Jamie Sheehan commented on phil wright's blog post 'Squad for 2012/13'
"But at the same time, Macclesfield changed their manager when in a worse position than Argyle were, appointing Paul Ince a few seasons back, and got out of trouble. Anyway, Argyle DID change the manager. Fletch wasn't the boss in the opening…"
Saturday
Jamie Sheehan commented on Simon Duke's blog post 'Target?'
"Paul Groves was appointed Bournemouth manager on Friday afternoon, a position Fletch had been heavily linked to. Perhaps he was waiting to see whether an approach was forthcoming before committing his future to Argyle? If so, he doesn't have…"
Friday
Jamie Sheehan commented on Simon Duke's blog post 'Target?'
"All the article says is that James Brent wants Fletch to stay on as manager, which he has stated on previous occasions. That doesn't mean he's willing to offer him terms outside Argyle's strict League 2 budget, nor does it mean he has…"

Target?

Well, the job is done and Argyle have managed not only to come out of administration, but have successfully defended their position in the Football League. Congratulations to everyone at Home Park, and especially to Fletch, Ro and Nance, who have combined quickly as a really effective management/coaching team.

I know this is controversial, and I'll probably get shouted at, but let's also not forget Peter Ridsdale's contribution. If he hadn't been here last year, we simply…
