Edwin Moss commented on martin wathen's blog post 'confidence?'
"When argyle are at the top end of this or the next league or in the championship people will come and a lot will be from down west and not just from the south east and mid Cornwall area argyle have always had a lot of Cornish support and always will."

"I think Jamie, that you are agreeing with what I mean, but perhaps I didn't put it too well. "
Jamie Sheehan commented on martin wathen's blog post 'confidence?'
"I disagree that we shouldn't regard West Cornwall as a realistic 'catchment area'. There is no league football west of Argyle, and therefore, football fans from that area should be a target for us. There are coaches from Cornwall…"
RODGER RUSE commented on martin wathen's blog post 'confidence?'
"Well done, Phil, you are certainly one of the supporters whose loyalty is not in question. This all goes to show, as Jamie has pointed out, what a potentially large attendance Argyle could capture in good, successful times and all the more reason…"

phil wright commented on martin wathen's blog post 'confidence?'
"Agree with every word you wrote Jamie. Johnny- Glen , if i can just point out , i am a season ticket holder from mid Cornwall , so obviously attend as many matches as possible , a round trip of 80 miles. However i know season ticket holders from the…"

Jamie Sheehan commented on martin wathen's blog post 'confidence?'
"Plymouth has all the ingredients needed to be a 'football city'. It's got a population of c.250,000, and when you add Cornwall's 530,000, that's over 750,000 people. Assuming that half of these are adults, that's a…"

phil wright commented on martin wathen's blog post 'confidence?'
"IMO Plymouth is not a "football city" whatever that is . Could that be the reason we are tagged with the unenviable label as being the largest city never to have hosted top flight football. Ipswich & Norwich similar sized out in the…"

Time for a change?

Please don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to start a 'Sheridan Out' campaign. I merely want to post a question, explain my own feelings, and get people's responses.

For far too long now, Argyle have been a byword for failure and excuses for failure. That clearly cannot continue if we are to return to where we should be. So where exactly is that? Well, historically, we've spent well over 90pc of our existence in the middle two divisions, so you'd confidently argue that our…
