Very disappointed after todays game. We looked the part for the first 30 mins then am afraid it was downhill all the way. At half time Micky Adams saw what was needed & Vale were a different team second half. Ok they got a lucky break with the pen even though it was a stone waller but you had a feeling that somehow there was another gear there, something i m afraid we did not possess.
My opinion before the season started was we have a poor squad & nothing so far has caused me to alter that opinion.
When will Fletcher stop using Feeney on his own up front. All the opposition know by now these tactics & they just stick a six foot plus defender on him as Vale did today game over.
Thought Young had a poor game & Mc Donald only shone in patches. Really thought we could & should have got something out of this .
Oh well roll on tuesday at least Brizzle on a poor run.

I do however accept Carl's comment today. He is the manager and will do it his way. If he listened to every critic and took their advice, the team would be totally confused by the formation he put out and the tactics deployed. We have to trust him and support the team, although we can all have ideas on what we would do - 90% of us would probably end up with zero points at the end of the season!!!

I agree with your opinion about the problem of playing Feeney on his own up front. My only criticism of Carl Fletcher is when he goes 4-5-1 or something similar with a single striker at home. I think every home game should be seen as winnable and that needs two strikers every time. Perhaps Carl was afraid of Port Vale after their 6-2 drubbing of Rotherham last week but, whilst packing the midfield and playing with caution is a good tactic away (as the result at Torquay proved), it is not necessary at home when we need to take the game to the opposition. I have yet to see a successful performance from Argyle at Home Park when they play with only one striker. Perhaps Carl could explain his methodology!!

I thought that the football played by Argyle in the first half was the best for three seasons. We should have been 3-0 up at half time and, if that had happened, I am sure we would not have conceded those crazy goals. In my opinion, it all went wrong when Young lost his head and conceded that stupid penalty. With that and Wotton's departure, all the players seemed to lose heart and gave up. Carl Fletcher seemed gobsmacked! I feel sorry for him and the players. It was caused by the impetuosity of youth. Young and Hourihane are brilliant players but can make awful mistakes due to their youth and inexperience. Let us hope this is just a blip and the recent form brings a string of wins starting on Tuesday.

Who do you mean Phil Wright ? I have read information about Chadwick, Griffiths etc. It seems that the injuries are not such that a couple of weeks rest means return to full fitness.

sorry one last thing, the game for me was lost today in the midfield, the ball got that far then went back to the rear, sorry guys but thats the wrong way when your 3-1 down.

Unfortunately phil i have to agree with your comments, however i would say the first 45 mins were a pleasure to watch, some of the possession and passing in the first half of the game we great and yet again RW came up with the goods, which to be honest is a concern when one of the back 4 is our leading goal scorer.

Can fletch not see that something is a miss, and yes we have become all to predictable, so come on fletch the pressure is now on you to come up with something new.

As for the second half well i think everyone inside Homepark was shell shocked, we went from the first half of good creative football, to the second half of same old same old Argyle.

Baz had a good game AGAIN good to see him on the wing, however we looked tired out there, the last 20 mins or so we had no creativity and it seemed no one wanted the ball and certainly no one was willing to Attack and push forward which when you 3-1 down is a massive concern.

We need some new ideas something fresh, and we need it quick before the rot sets in we are better then this we proved that in the first half.

COYG oh and my i suggest 2 up front, WF is looking good this season but he needs help!!!!!!!!!!!

Icant understand what happens to our injured players. They seem to get injured then disappear off the face of the earth. Never any news on their progress.Just hope Wotton doesnt join them for too long. He is not the player he was but better than a lot we have.

It seems that once again we managed to snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory.

Just when you start to begin to hope to believe, the usual happens with the inevitable result and all illusions are shattered.  I just hope it will get better.
